Most Tesla mattresses are pool floats with foam baffles. Three aren't.

Why this guide exists

Every brand scored the same way, on the evidence.

Every mattress in the table is scored on the same six criteria, using published specifications, verified dimensions and weights, and what hundreds of owners report on Reddit, Trustpilot, and Tesla owner forums. The bad reviews get read as carefully as the good ones.

The six criteria: Comfort (30%), Fit and Stability (20%), Setup speed (15%), Storage when packed (10%), Build quality (15%), Value (10%). The mattress at the top of the table earns its position because its sub-scores add up to more.

Most Tesla mattresses, including the ones marketed as feeling like a normal bed, are pure-air inflatables with a foam baffle inside the air chamber. The owner is still sleeping on the surface dynamics of an inflated chamber. A real mattress stacks comfort foam on top of the support structure. Only one in our test is built that way at full layered depth, and that is why it sits at #1.
